NO IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE PRIUS! Whew, I just had to get that out of my system, sorry I was so harsh! Truth is, the Toyota guys imitated the original Insight when they designed their version! Imitation being the most sincere form of flattery means that Toyota simply LOVES our Insight. Actually, there is really only so much you can do in design and keep it as areodynamic as possible, so they do look very similar. We here at Colonial Honda received four of the first Insights delivered in California just today and now that I ahev seen it in person I love it. It carries the family lines of the original and improves it at every angle. Initial impressions are starting to hit the Internet and they all all good, Edmunds had some great things to say and I wont rty to better them so here they are:

"A hard look at the true costs of hybrid car ownership will likely lead you to conclude that the 2010 Honda Insight is the more sensible choice, simply because you can buy a lot of gas with the money you save. (By our math, you'd have to put more than 580,000 miles on a 2010 Prius to make up the difference.)"

Thank you Edmunds! Read the rest at the Edmunds.com review site the InsideLine.

Back when fuel prices were hitting almost 5 dollars a gallon I had run out of Hybrid Civics and had to show my customers how it was actually more cost effective to buy a regular Civic. Because the Hybrid was 4-7 thousand dollars more a customer would have to drive the Hybrid for sometimes up to ten years to see a return, meanwhile have a higher payment! I converted many customers to non-hybrid Civics! Well, now Honda has introduced the most inexpensive Hybrid in the US, the all redesigned and improved Insight! If you remember, the Insight was the FIRST production hybrid vehicle to be sold here in America and now Honda continues the innovation! For around 20 grand you can get 4 people to where you need to go and get the best mileage at the same time! Lots of good info is out there, the best source is of course the Honda site here;
Yes, I have 7 of them due here at the dealership any day now, and yes, you can email or write me below for pricing....... :)
